Highlights of my Journey

Studying in St’ Mary’s Boys School, being a part of a proud batch of students of the reputed 150 year old school.

Winning the house cup for St’ Peters House winning the human pyramid, tug of war and other sports activities to bring the house cup back to St’ Peters House after 10 Years.

Being shortlisted to go for summer soccer coaching to learn from the reserve squad and assistant coaches of Bolton Wanderers F.C., unfortunately injury prevented me from going but the act of being shortlisted was in itself a big achievement for me.

Attempting to crack the fabled IIT Entrance Exam in India, after rigorous coaching for over 2 years and countless hours spent learning about organic and inorganic chemistry, physics and mathematics, enduring a 7 Hour examination after travelling for 6 Hours by train was a challenge and none the less i got short listed to pursue a bachelor of technology degree in chemistry or a bachelor degree in architecture from IIT Kanpur, but since my interest lied in electronic technology at the time i decided to stay back in my hometown Pune, and pursue Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering from the 2nd Best Engineering college in the State of Maharashtra, Vishwakarma Institute of Technology.

Winning the Interdepartmental Band Competition, representing my department, 2 years in a row, as a Lead Guitarist and Bassist as well as a Rhythm Guitarist.

Being a part of the publicity and sponsorship team to rake in the largest footfall we had seen at our annual college festival Mélange, at 22,000 People.

Getting shortlisted to attend Graduate School at Syracuse University for the Course Information Management which is ranked 2nd Best in the United States of America under Management Information Science courses behind Carnegie Melon University.

Obtaining a 4.0 GPA in my first semester while being actively involved in student organizations, volunteer organizations, and working 20 Hour part time each week.

Being selected to represent the reputed iSchool Graduate Organization, Volunteering for Nanhi Kali (Syracuse Chapter) a cause which i relate to. Being from India and seeing one of my Favorite Professors, Professor Arthur P. Thomas, go out of his was so much and work so hard to better the circumstances of the girl child in India, by enabling empowerment by education. Something i encourage all readers of this to endorse and donate to.

Becoming the Manager of a Cafe, having the responsibility to ensure students follow the regulations, come to their shifts, handle their scheduling and ensuring inventory and stock is up to date. As well as learning so much about management from a Food Services job was something i did not expect. I learned how NOT to micromanage, how to be amenable and assertive at the same time, how to be polite and still ensure that work is completed in a timely manner.

Getting the privilege to work with the Director of Corporate & Employer Relations on a really large scale data migration project, learning new tools and analysis techniques, enlisting the help of subject matter experts to understand and clean the data better. Currently trying to link our online platform to a BI tool to leverage real time reports to further the reach of the Deans Office.
